Abstract
This article examines William Shakespeare’s profound influence on modern English literature. It analyzes Shakespeare’s contribution to the development of literary language, dramatic techniques, characterization, symbolism, and universal themes such as love, ambition, identity, morality, and power. The study also explores Shakespeare’s impact on modern drama, poetry, novels, literary criticism, and contemporary culture. Special attention is given to the adaptation and reinterpretation of Shakespearean ideas in modern literary works. The article demonstrates that Shakespeare’s artistic legacy continues to shape literary traditions and remains highly relevant in contemporary English literature.
