Abstract

The rapid expansion of the platform economy has challenged traditional regulatory frameworks, exposing gaps in competition law, labor protections, and data governance. Existing regulatory responses have often been reactive, fragmented, and jurisdiction-specific, limiting their effectiveness in addressing the systemic nature of digital markets. This paper critically examines current approaches to platform regulation and proposes a Responsive Regulatory Alignment Model (RRAM) that emphasizes adaptability, cross-sector coordination, and stakeholder integration. Drawing on recent policy developments and comparative insights, the study argues that effective governance of digital platforms requires a shift from static rule-making to dynamic regulatory systems. The paper contributes to legal and policy scholarship by offering a structured framework for aligning regulation with the evolving characteristics of digital economies.
